Larry Legend: at 50
Hey, just wanted to let all 2 of you know that Bill Simmons has posted an older column of his in honor of Larry Bird's 50th birthday. It's a great read from a good sports writer who grew up watching Bird in person. Read it quick, it's probably only going to be available for a few days unless you have one of those stupid ESPN subscriptions. Check it out.

What? You don't think $6.95 a month is worth it to read those "great" ESPN articles?
That stuff drives me crazy. If it were full of insider info that I couldn't get elsewhere, it might be worth it. But since no news stays "inside" for very long anymore, what's the point? So you get to hear about some dude's drug problem a day before everyone else, who cares? And the analysis, well, let's just say I doubt many of them know more than I do. Ugh.
